The Outlaw Power cold air intake system will be the first and last intake system you will ever need install onto your vehicle. Installation is fast and easy out of the box. You do not have to hassle with small gaskets and screws and installation does not require more than 1 pair of hands like some of the other intake systems. We have reduced the amount of restrictions and turbulence in this intake system to deliver you cold non turbulent air at the highest velocity possible. The Outlaw Power airbox has a large opening that seals against the inner fender. Seal trim is provided and attached to the airbox. The sealed system ensures cold air is ducted into the air box. The enclosed air box shields the air-intake charge and air filter from trail dust, road grime, and torque-robbing heat. This provides complete protection for high-torque engine demands. As cold outside air enters the airbox, it is efficiently directed into the Outlaw Power air filter. Outlaw Power uses a contoured air filter top, as opposed to a flat filter top. This design was created to increase airflow and reduce air turbulence, which increases air transfer efficiency. Once inside the filter, an inverted velocity stack design guides the air as it enters the filter and directs the air toward the intake tube. The air is then accelerated through the main velocity stack into the mass airflow sensor and intake tube. In addition, this utility patent-pending design allows for greater filter area within the contained air intake system because the connection to the intake tube is made on the exterior of the air box, rather than on the interior. Greater filter area results in increased filtration capacity, which allows for highest airflow and performance. The Outlaw Power intake tube is engineered with a Hemholtz resonator bottle. This boost bottle is engineered for a reserve of air at 3500 RPM. You may see other companies’ attempts at this engineering technique, but they have miserably failed. Engineering requires engineers! If you do not have any engineering knowledge, you end up with a resonator bottle that is fabricated for 8000+ RPM. Then they wonder why their intake system makes no power! “Our core focus is research and development”, said Clinton Yee, President and Chief Engineer. “The Outlaw Power cold air intake systems for Chevy, Cadillac and GMC provide the truck and SUV enthusiast with proven, measurable performance and reliability, while offering them features that protect the intake system and their investment.”
