I have read, understand and agree with the disclaimer below
When the truck driver shows up to deliver the package, the customer must inspect the package before signing for delivery.
If there are any damages on any parts, the customer must mark it on the bill of lading and have the driver sign "REFUSED DUE TO DAMAGES UPON FREIGHT."
If package is signed for by the customer and not inspected as instructed, (Example - driver shows up, customer signs for the package and afterwards opens the package and realizes there are damages.) the customer will then be liable from that point on.
Please make sure your customer doesn't have the driver take the package to their door step of their apartment. The customer must meet the driver outside of the building, inspect the package and accept it. The customer must take the package to their apartment themselves, or refuse it if damaged. Freight carrier charge additional fees for physically delivering a package to an apartment or per floor if thier is more than one floor.
