A heated pass-by test section assures that the REMUS systems fulfill the Road Traffic Licencing Regulations. This prevents any unpleasant surprises.
Construction of prototypes Even without the corresponding vehicle REMUS prototypes are tested on a special measuring stand regarding their backpressure and acoustic parameters.

Track Racing
In FIA GT World Championship or Porsche Supercup – the 2006 REMUS drivers were amongst the best in the different touring car classes. As well as the REMUS top pilots Karl Wendlinger and Philipp Peter who competed in the FIA GT Championship in an Aston Martin, it was Richard Lietz who impressed and won the vice champion title in the prestigious Porsche Supercup.
Hans Knaus, former ski ace, also successfully completed his first motor sport season in the FIA GT 1 World Championship in a Porsche 996RS. In the FIA GT3 Championship the former REMUS super kart pilot Andreas Mairzedt was for the first time behind the wheel of a “real car” and performed convincingly in a Lamborghini Gallardo. And Vincent Smaal, a member of the REMUS sales team triumphed in the group N of the BMW Challenge, held at the Histo N Cup.
Rally Racing
On national and international rally tracks REMUS was always amongst the leaders. In 2006 REMUS rally star RAIMUND Baumschlager could win his fourth Rally State Championship title before the season had finished. In addition, with the help of Armin Schwarz he assisted Andreas Aigner with the rally junior project. The 22 years old Andreas Aigner achieved top results in the Rally World Championship in 2006 and is regarded as the future contender for the title. Together with Toto Wolff who drove a Mitsubishi Evo 8 and a Peugeot WRC, it was Kris Rosenberger, Beppo Harrach and Michael Böhm who – amongst others – represented the REMUS colours in many different rally classes. Apart from the two or three-day rallies, REMUS pilot Raphael Sperrer has passed his first endurance test at the classic Paris Dakar Rally brilliantly and was only stopped by a gearbox failure just before Dakar.
Formula Racing
The long standing REMUS pilot and reigning Formula 3000 Series Champion Norbert Siedler took the plunge and went to the USA where he gathered his first experiences in the Champ Car Atlantic Series. Together with REMUS, Norbert Siedler in recent years has proved that he is able to race every car.
He gave a solid performance on the American racing tracks, but due to recurrent technical problems he was not able to finish the series. After his fast switch to the European Le Mans series, Norbert Siedler took a place on the podium in his first race and came back to the circle of winners.
The young REMUS pilot Mirko Bortolotti also drove in several races in the hard-fought Formula Renault and he competed in the entire Formula Azzurra, where he starts in the last two races of the season as leader of the Championship.
