Brembo

Brembo was founded in 1961, when extensive affluence allowed ever wider bands of the populace to use the car. It started as an undersized mechanics garage located a few kilometers from Bergamo, run by the current President's father Emilio Bombassei. Knowledge acquired in mechanics and metallurgy was distributed to use when the founder began functioning for clientele such as Alfa Romeo.

The early 60's marked a highlight in the company's timeline, because Brembo initiated manufacturing the first Italian brake discs for the after-market industry. Until that time, discs had been imported from Great Britain. The fabrication of brake discs was then followed by other braking system workings. The proficiency, specialization and superiority of the products and services of the the Brembo company began to gain acknowledgment on an international level, gaining leadership in Europe's brake disc aftermarket. In short, Brembo became leader and the principal manufacturer for high-quality vehicles and has upheld its name and reputation ever since.
