If your ready to race HKS Exhaust is the way to go, the factory exhaust has a great restriction of air flow to avoid noise and pollution. The system design has both of those restrictions balanced out resulting in reduction of backpressure and thermal stress. All exhausts are manufactured with logic to it. Exhaust isn't just a simple muffler. The system gets tested in the labs to create the best air flow, dyno horsepower and tune sounds to its maximum performance. While testing also keeping in mind the exhaust to be street legal and street use HKS is street legal and conforms to the California Vehicle Code 95-decibel exhaust noise level limit. HKS exhaust is not a universal application. Every car has a specific design and every car has a specific system. Some applications makes multiple exhaust system of that car to fit the need of the customer. The customer gets a choice between choosing a system of

The difference basically is the inlet muffler pipe difference. All systems are designed for specific engines so the product is not universalized but personalized to the specific car.

The system has a high quality mandrel bent, aluminized steel piping which makes the exhaust have a smooth consistent exhaust flow per specific application. Mandrel bent is better then crimps and kinks as it avoids less turbulence and increase the exhaust flow velocity.

Muffler design is application specific. Each muffler has its own flow characteristics. The Sport, Turbo, Drager, Hiper, and Racing Muffler share similar qualities, but are not identical. Most mufflers are designed to have the air flow straight through. You will find some non-turbo applications use a chambered muffler design which maximizes the horsepower gain and torque. HKS exhaust system is available in variety of different tips.

HKS exhausts systems are made for direct bolt of the specific application. There is no modification needed and all the accessories and hardware is included with the exhaust system. All HKS exhaust system has a micro-fiber mesh sheet wrapping around the inside of the muffler wall to prevent the muffler packing from wearing out. This increases the life of the muffler.
